About the project
The Kids with Rackets (‘Dzieciaki do Rakiet’) action is invented to encourage kids to take up physical activity and learn to play tennis. This year’s edition was divided into two parts. The first phase covered tennis events with workshop sessions for kids between 5 – 12 years old and other attractions for families. Some inspiring trainers and the fun atmosphere sparkled the kids’ interest in sport, while the website we created supported the entire action. The second phase of the project was focused on a contest for primary schools. We created a special registration and voting system for the contest action. So, during our summer weekends we were cheering the young tennis players, but before that we…
…designed the website – part I
We supported the first phase of the Kids with Rackets action by designing a website on which we informed about the coming events and enabled the kids to register. The participation in the event was free of charge, but the organizer’s intent was to know how many interested participants would take part. To this purpose, on the website we put a counter that showed the number of participants. The registration process supported by relevant mailing was much more convenient for the users whereas the RODO module offered the user a direct access his/her data and the option to erase it from the system.
Registration for schools and an extensive contest
As the second part of the project, we designed a complex system of school registration and a unique contest format that required posting of an original film or a photo album. All the entries were subject to the administrator’s verification. Registered participants gained access to their accounts, were able to modify their entries and manage their data. Following the school registration stage, a voting was held on the website. The authors of the most creative entries were awarded with tennis equipment. We were so happy to see our project contribute to the promotion of physical activities!
